The project shown here is what’s referred to as a Sidewall Veneer Machine. This machine is used in the tire retreading industry as a key part of the manufacturing process. This machine was developed in partnership with a Canadian tire retreading company, who came to us with a problem after being a customer for several years prior.

Many machines on the market today are over-elaborate, expensive, and bulky. MacGregor’s staff designed this machine from the ground up, manufactured all machine parts, fabricated the structure for the machine, supplied and installed the hydraulic system, and sourced and installed the electrical components. The end result is a fully automated machine built in a cost effective manner.

This is the fourth machine of its kind MacGregor’s have manufactured. Machines have been shipped across Canada and into the United States.
